So there's a little bit of a hurdle. I have sent out packet 3 last week to the Hong Kong embassy and I have recieved a letter from them telling me they can't schedule an appointment until they recieve the Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) from the Philippines. I have already paid and applied for it 2 weeks ago but I have just recieved a message saying it's still on its way to being processed and will be arriving 6-8 weeks later........... :( With my wedding being closer everyday, I am kind of losing time.

Just to update you guys with my case and to bring this forum a little life, I have ordered another CENOMAR online to have it shipped by FedEx (or else it's going to take 6-8 weeks if it's through registered mail). I have followed the footsteps from people on here that have dealt with this issue in the past. I have made a FedEx account and emailed the ECensus (CENOMAR portal). However, it takes 2-3 days for them to reply and my biggest stress was that they dispatch this order again without shipping it by FedEx. I didn't want to risk it so I researched my heart out and managed to dig up information in the Internet and stumbled upon their number in a forum dated 5 years ago (it's not on their website). So, I was hoping with all my might that the number is still the same. I managed to get through the first ring (surprisingly) and they are helpful and will ship my CENOMAR by FedEx today. I can finally relax and put my mind at ease.

Hoping it's a smoother process from here on. With all the frustration and problem-solving that this visa has brought me, I feel like I am more confident to deal with life, in general. Also, it has made me a more patient person.

But if you ask me, honestly, I would NEVER want to do this ever again. Haha! :D Love you guys! <3

I passed my interview in London today.

Was a total breeze after all that nail-biting and preparation.

I almost feel cheated that I didn't have to fight a dragon or something just to get approved. Hey-ho. :)

Hello! I hope everyone is well! I have a question for you all :) I've noticed a few people mention before about how their cases have an expiration date? How do you figure out when your case will expire? I'm just concerned because our case has been at the consulate for over a month, because we've hit a few bumps in the road and are waiting for my fiance's birth certificate (he didn't have an unabridged version or whatever that you need for the packet 3) to come before we submit our packet 3 and schedule the interview. Should I be worried that while we're waiting for his birth certificate that our case will expire??

We got a flight on Lufthansa, leaving Abuja via priceline.com. Flights from Abuja are the cheapest in the country :-)

Thank you!!
