CENOMAR_K1 Visa_Is it required for interview at BAH US Embassy?

Hi VJ Members,

Is there anyone from here who got their interviewed here in Bahrain Manama US Embassy? It seems like not too many people here who currently lives in Bahrain and applying a K1 Visa. My question is:

* Is it required to submit CENOMAR to Manama Embassy during K1 interview? I have requested my cenomar online via NSO website and they delivered it to me today but unfortunately some details are not correct, like the place where I was born and the purpose of my cenomar is for marriage purposes but they wrote "Passport/Travel Purposes". I was thinking not to request again as definitely they will charge me again for another $25. I jus wanted to have it just in case I need cenomar. I have checked MANAMA US EMBASSY website but cenomar is not included in the required documents for K1.

All the requirements should have been stated on your Packet 3. Requirements for US Embassy Manila that asked for a Cenomar is specific to US Embassy Manila requirements only not necessarily applicable to all Philippines nationals applying for a K1.

Thanks. I think, I'd better to wait for my Packet 3 then. All my friends who had their K1 interview in the Philippines, they required them to submit Cenomar but since my interview will be in Manama Bahrain, I would like to know if I will need it.

Applying for a Visa

The consular section at the embassy or consulate where you, the Fiancé of an American citizen, will apply for a visa will tell you of additional specific requirements, such as where you need to go for the required medical examination. The following is required:

1. A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States.
2. Original Birth certificate
3. Original Divorce or death certificate of any previous spouse for both the applicant and the petitioner
4. Police certificate from all places lived since age 16
5. Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
6. Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support may be requested.)
7. Two Non-immigrant Visa Applications , Form DS-156
8. One Non-immigrant Fiancé Visa Application, Form DS-156K
9. Two Non-immigrant visa photos (each two inches 50 X 50 mm square, showing full face, against a light background)
10. Evidence of a fiancé relationship
11. Payment of fees, as explained below.

The consular officer may ask for additional information according to the circumstances of the case. Documents in foreign languages should be translated. Take clear, legible photocopies of civil documents, such as birth and marriage certificates, to the interview. Original documents can then be returned to you.

Yes! I have read that. Thats why i have to wait for the Packet 3 maybe cenomar is on the list or not

Just to update this post. I have got my packet 3 via e-mail from US Embassy in Bahrain and yes, CENOMAR is also required for K1 Interview. It was not mentioned in the US EMBASSY in Bahrain website though. I have to wait for my new corrected cenomar before I schedule my interview.
