What you say is 100% correct

I have an update on my situation

My husband spoke to his caring aunt and said we can stay with her till we find a place rent free which honestly put me in tears for joy, so the sec I move I am moving all my contact for USCIS there so she won't take my mail

His aunt is such a warm hearted person that treats me like a daughter she never had as I met her many times even though I saw the mother in law more,

I'm so happy for you MASH--that's a much better outcome for you all! keep us updated and I hope everything goes smoothly once you move out!

****

EDIT

Not sure if I told you guys my AP was approved on April 22nd, no letter confirmation about that yet, this is the status:

On April 22, 2016, we approved your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document, Receipt Number MSC16XXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice.

Congrats Anna!

I just received my 797 last april 30th for my EAD/AP Approval notice and still waiting for the actual card... Really hard being patient ugh.

Anybody else here got approved EAD/AP on April 26th (online) and got anything from the mail?

SEG123, I also got approved on the 26th online, but still haven't gotten the card yet. I received the approval notices on Saturday the 30th. I'm hoping it comes today so I can show the DMV tomorrow!

Really hoping my husband will receive his AP/EAD soon.

NOA - feb 16

Biometrics - 03 18

RFE - 03-17 (but received in mail approx a week later)

Uscis Rcvd RFE (translated birth certificate) 03/31

I know it "resets the clock" on EAD/AP processing from 03/31 the date they received the "initial evidence"

But I have also seen a few people with RFIes and they received their interim benefits without delay.

Hoping it won't be too much longer but my guess is worst case scenario end of June? :(

I'm growing desperate to travel. We have a 3 month old that we really would like to take to meet my nana who can't travel due to her age and health :(

Please send me your positive thoughts and energy guys. I'm starting to lose hope :( what a long and exhausting process especially with a new baby.

Sending positive thoughts your way! Don't lose hope--just think that you've done everything you can, and it's out of your hands now. I've seen others in this thread send in a translated b/c, and they received their EAD and AP soon after. I don't think it always resets the clock, so I hope you hear something soon!

His aunt is such a warm hearted person that treats me like a daughter she never had as I met her many times even though I saw the mother in law more,

In life you come across many hurdles. It's how you deal with these and others that shows your true character and strength. You have shown nothing but love and kindness thus far and the fact it was not reciprocated is not your fault.

Showing kindness and understanding is not unique to any one faith as that is a universal language... Some might say it's karma that your husband has a relative willing to help out in this situation both emotionally (support and a place to stay) and financially by not requesting rent from you.

From my point of view you deserve this turn around in fortunes as putting up with the situation for months is enough for anyone.

Don't fret about the future relations with your Mother In Law for now as yes she may become angry that you are "taking away her son" and she might even feel vindicated that she was right all along in how you were treated as she doesn't want to lose her son.

Let time pass and for her to see how the rest of the family accepts you and warms to you. She will come round in her own time and that is when you look to reconcile the differences, no point in forcing it. If as you say she believes in a higher power she may find passages in "the good book" that will let her see the errors in her ways.

From what looked like despair a matter of days ago you now have the joy of starting an independent life together very soon once you are both financially stable on your feet. Others can then share in the happiness you will no doubt exude so keep that inner strength going ok.

The Lord (whichever denomination you happen to follow!) does move in mysterious ways!

That's weird that some got the AP updates online and some didn't. I didn't get one either, just a random letter in the mail.

By the way, I don't think the RFIE's (I got 2)delayed my AP, so don't lose hope.

Mine was approved on the 21..got the notification (797) on the 26th, and the card on the 28th.. But nothing other than that, no interview, no updates... ?

At least you got your card in two days after getting your 797. I still havent gotten mine. Really hard to wait when you know you still have a lot to do when you get the EAD (apply for ssn, drivers and such)

I suggest be busy with work and you wouldn't realize that time is passing by!

From what I've been reading it's really hard for some to get the interview notice. We just have to be patient..

Ok its a relief now seeing another person with the same approval date as mine! Got my approval notice during the weekend (either 30th or 1st) since we were gone that weekend and just got back sunday night. I just got one approval notice and its both for EAD and AP. Did you get the same?

Been checking the mail every single day since I got the 797 cause I need to go to DMV and the social security office to get my SSN and (wait again....) finally start working. Hope we get it by today!!!

I only got an update on my EAD online but the approval notice i got was the combo (I assume) cause it says they approved my EAD and AP.

I got an approval letter for my AP a few min ago, it has my picture at the bottom, I have a question, it says:

"Presentation of the original of this document prior to April 27 2106 allows a customs and border protection inspector at a port of entry to parole the named bearer whose photograph appears hereon into the US based upon urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit..."

Does that mean I can only leave the country in case of emergency?

Is this I512 different than the one that comes with the EAD card?

I am a bit confused ???

Help!

My husband and I received a rfie in the mail last week. Turns out we had used a outdated version of the medical form. In the letter is states not to mail in any documentation and to wait for further instruction. Today out of curiosity we called to find out the status of the case. We learned that our interview has been scheduled for tomorrow at the Orlando office. We never received a notice for the interview and apparently it was mailed on April 6!

We were told we could reschedule so a request was sent to the Orlando field office. We were told that the field office could accept or reject our request to reschedule. On top of that we have to have a new medical completed as the last medical is dated 5/23/15.

Any suggestions on how to handle this.

My opinion and upon reading posts previously- I would suggest you both go to the interview and let them tell you what to do. Please post a question on AOS forum to get some qualified opinions quickly. If you haven't done already. I would hate for you to have to do this process all over because they deny your request to reschedule and it has happened to another recently. Blessings! Keep us posted.
