First off, thank you for having me here! I have read so much information as well as peoples personal experiences here, it's nice to know I'm not alone!

The process is quite daunting and intimidating, to say the least.

I do have a few questions.

I am Canadian, planning to move to the USA to be with my fiance.

We met on an online game we mutually played back in approximately November, 2014. After a couple months we became "official" and started talking about the process of moving in together. That's when I started looking into the process of the K1 visa.

June 5, 2015, I drove to Pennsylvania to finally meet her and stayed for 17 days. It was originally a 10 day trip but there was a death in the family so I stayed the extra week to attend the funeral with her and her family.

June 7, I asked her to marry me. She said yes!!!!!! Woo hooooo!!

I came back home late june and unfortunately about a month later we ended up breaking up until recently. This is where I forsee problems.

We worked everything out and have never been better but that peiod of about 5-6 months we had ben split up, will that affect anything?

Another problem is that my computer got wiped out and I lost every chat (line, facebook, text etc..) we ever had from day one.

So the only evidence I have of chat from text is from the last while we have been back together, and obviously nothing for the months inbetween June and recently when we got back together.

I do have the pictures of when I visited in June though, that's a plus.

In reality, this scares me because if they start asking about previous chats, I have nothing anymore.

Fees are in US dollars. Where in Canada are you from? This will affect where you interview as Canada will only interview K visas in Vancouver or Montreal

Since you cannot manufacture evidence of your relationship all you can do is send what you have. Keep compiling evidence so you can submit more for the interview. I suggest another visit at the very least

Good luck

You have plenty of time to accumulate a few bits, not that you need much.

I'm from Timmins, on, to be exact. So I'll either drive the approximately 12 hours or just fly. Montreal is definitely the closest to me of the two!

We are actually planning another visit for The end of march (Easter weekend), so that will be 2 visits for us since we got together.

We talk on the phone as much as possible as well and text and facebook/line chat sometimes too so we will have plenty more evidence by the time it comes to actually submit the petition in a couple months after our visit.

This gives me peace of mind, I was getting pretty stressed about it.
