Hello,

We just received a letter from the NVC stating they received our application and will process it and send it to the Philippine Embassy/

Also included in the letter is a url: http://nvc.state.gov/k1 which redirects to here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/family/fiance-k-1.html

On this page, it says that my fiancee must complete the Form DS-160 (online).

My question is, is this a requirement? Thus far, I have been following the K1 visa guide provided by this site and nowhere does it mention the Form DS-160 so I'm a bit confused; and would like some clarification before proceeding, since the guides on this site haven't let me down thus far.

Thanks

Yes. Kindly refer to the Embassy Instructions Letter below:

The guide is outdated. The U.S. Embassy Manila requires a DS-160 from K-1 applicants.
