Currently at this time my husbands most recent tax year is 2014, and we've gathered all the papers needed for 2014, 2013 and 2012. But I'm wondering whether it's wiser to wait until he receives his 2015 tax refund, which he'll receive hopefully in the next month/3 weeks. Any chance that by the time they receive our AOS package that 2014 won't be considered as the most recent tax year? For example if I send the AOS next week, will it matter? I don't want to slow our process down by not providing the correct papers.

This stuff is giving me headache lol! I hope I'm not being confusing!

Thanks in advance!

hi

the 2015 isn't requires until after April 15, when tax season is over

so if you can't wait until after April 15th, then the current year is 2014 for sending tax

This is why i love this forum, thank you for the information!

We'll send it this/next week then! And my medical expires end of March so.. yeah! :) Thanks again!

Hello!

I had my Cross-Border Taxes prepared by an accountant, and I've had some questions / comments on it. Today is the last day for filing w/o an extension.

I already have a Form 1040 prepared ( Pre-Comments ), along with all the other documents I need.

Speaking to the accountant today - he said that he's going to file an extension ( even though I feel my comments on my 1040 wasn't that terrible ), but since I have the 1040 already filled out, can I use this as part of the I-864??

I haven't signed the Tax Form 1040 yet, and I expect the Form 4868 today from the Accountant.

Since I have the copy of my 2015 Form 1040, along with the 2014, 2013 returns, Paystubs, Employment Letter - do I really need to worry that my taxes for 2015 aren't formally filed??

Sort of a bad situation in the morning.
