Hello, I am from San Diego as well. Had my interview on 7/8, was told by IO that my oath would be in either August or September. So far my online status is "Oath will be scheduled", not sure when it will be changed to "mailed". SD process is really slow, compared to other field offices in CA, not to mention those in other states!

The next oath ceremonies in San Diego are on August 24 and September 21, it should be any of them i guess.

The next oath ceremonies in San Diego are on August 24 and September 21, it should be any of them i guess.

I am hoping too! IO said that they usually send out the oath letters two to three weeks prior to oath date. So I guess we should expect the online update around 8/5, if we are scheduled for 8/24 oath ceremony.

How do you know about specific days??

I read it in San Diego Passport Services website, they say they are not open the days of naturalization ceremonies, as follows, 7/20, 8/24, 9/21, 10/19. So those are the upcoming dates for the oaths.

Just got a text from uscis, saying the oath letter is mailed. Looks like it is going to be 8/24. Hope you guys get the update today as well!

I'm having my oath ceremony this Wednesday. Should I apply for passport immediately after the ceremony (on Wednesday) or apply for SSN first? Any one has experience in Houston for these process please share with me!

The SSA office recommends you wait 10 days before your visit them because your citizenship status may not have been updated in their system. Apparently there's some communication of citizenship status from USCIS to the SSA.

US citizens don't have to notify USCIS of address changes.

Of course, if you have a pending case (like if you filed a petition for a relative) then you need to update your address.
