You can expose that sin anytime you want by declaring the referenced Hadith as invalid. I'm waiting for you to do that. I am assuming that it is a valid, accepted teaching.

^ won't happen.

question, do you do this to bible thumpers too? or do you just honestly have a thing for islam? i don't get it. it would be like me requesting a christian to pronounce whatever verse in the bible invalid. this is a thread about a woman trying to make religious tensions and ignorance better among the people around her, why are you so against that?

I'm not against it if it openly and honestly communicates the beliefs and teachings.

and this is what i'm getting at. if it's not your religion who are you to judge if an actual adherent of the religion expresses a belief or teaching that doesn't align with your ideas regarding their religion or your ideas regarding how that religion is practiced? that would be like me telling a baptist they're not really christian because they happen to revere mary..and only catholics do that - not baptists. i mean my first thought would be who am i to demand the baptist correct themselves in a public forum to align properly with the religion they claim? i don't understand why you feel the need to project extreme islam you see in the me on an american trying to ease tension in massachusetts. i have a feeling i know why, but i don't want to assume..

not if i get to them first.

I didnt pick a tradition to highlight. Covering the face is a tradition, not in the Quran, not in the Hadith. Modesty is, but different coutries define that in different ways. Pick something like that, the discussion can be endless. Not this tho. I picked a fundamental, across the board teaching.

Nobody likes what I said but flip side nobody's denying it either.

i don't even know what hadith is. i'm just trying to understand why you're wasting your time picking one fundamental, from one religion. i don't really feel like arguing this or know if this is what you're referencing but mary's place in the baptist faith isn't tradition, it is very much fundamental. anyway i think it's safe to say any reasonable adult would rather live in a country where people are left to practice whatever make believe of their own choosing, as opposed to being forced to practice the same make believe the government practices..i don't get why you can't make the massive distinction between maintaining peaceable religious relations in the us and minding our own business in other countries.

It was earlier determined that it was a violation of TOS to bring issues from thread to thread. You might think about tightening up.

As for the lying thing those words are hundreds of years old. Yes, they do explain a lot don't they.

Who's bringing issues? I pointed out your posting history, not issues. That's all. You are adamant about keeping the post in topic, I'm holding you to the same standard.

So, let's talk about this Muslim woman in Mass.

That does explain a lot.

Education is wonderful.

No RE at school?

awesome thing about being an adult is you get to choose what to learn about, and islam ain't on my list.

as far as re, my parents put me in the public school kind, where you get on a special jesus bus once a week and get driven off of school property since God isn't welcome in public schools. like church on saturdays, sunday mornings and evenings, and wednesday missionary classes weren't enough.

well, clearly she's lying. i'm not sure about what but she must be. it's allowed.

Yep, because reasons...

I think we had gathered that.

Hadith is the long and convoluted set of religious teachings that is mandatory to follow

It seemed relevant ++ and hey as a bonus it leveled the discussion as we all got to see it in action
