Hello,

I plan to change my name after getting married to my fiance, we will file for AOS soon after, I was wondering would that be a problem for all our documents? What do I provide to prove change of name and avoid RFE? Which name should we put in the application, my maiden name still (since that is the name that is on the visa) or my new married name? I know I have to change my DL, passport, social, what about my certificate of Naturalization, should that be changed as well??

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you :)

Use your married name. Under state law, your marriage certificate alone allows you to change your name to your husband's last name.

Provide a copy of your marriage certificate.

Change your DL, passport, and social if you want. There is absolutely no need to change your Naturalization Certificate since your marriage certificate and passport will have your new names.
