I picked up my Visa at 2Go today (Yay!) So happy :)

I took out the passport to double check if the info on the Visa is correct. Then I noticed my packet. The left side flap of the envelope is not properly glued and also a bit creased.

Will this be a problem? I sent Manila IV Correspondence an email to check if this is alright. I have attached 2 photos of the envelope for reference.

As long as you haven't opened the visa packet then there's nothing to worry. Last year when I have received mine to our doorstep, I have cut a small portion on the plastic in order to get my passport.

It's normal to have issues like yours. There isn't anything you need to do. Just pack it away in your CARRY ON luggage and keep it safe. Only the immigration officer at your POE is to open your visa packet.

Safe travels.

When you had your interview, are you told right then that you passed. and if so how long did it take to get your passport. My wife is waiting for an interview appointment in manila as of now.

Thanks for your help.

It's difficult for anyone to predict when you will receive your visa. We are in "normal" visa processing times and we are seeing 5 to 10 business days after interview. But, at times we have seen upwards of 30 days to 6 months for some.

Part of the test measures in answering your question are, estimating the time it will take USEM to process, issue and 2Go to deliver. Since no one can exactly simulate all visa conditions, actual visa processing of each person will vary. As a result, when these estimated visa claims from other applicants are published, I almost always state the standard disclaimer "your mileage may vary."

Beware, USEM states in their Embassy Letter; "Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you". It's a good rule to follow. We have seen too many who bet it won't happen to them and $600 or more latter they are crying.

Hi, CO congratulated us after the interview and told us to go straight to Step 5, that was Dec. 7. I got the passport last Dec. 23( a great Xmas gift!)

Just make sure your wife has all the required documents and make copies. One missing document will delay the Visa.

Goodluck and I pray that your wife will pass the interview.

Some COs do tell you the visa is approved during the interview... BUT.. your visa is not actually approved until ISSUED status later.

"No Embassy representative is authorized to tell you that a visa has been approved until a consular officer authorizes printing of the visa."

I am so glad to read the responses here. My Fiancé received his visa today and one of the corners is entirely open. Was received from Embassy to DHL this way. I was over here freaking out. Telling him he may need to go to Embassy & He's over there- don't worry about it. No problem.
