Hey guys, I have a completely off topic question that I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out with.. I used to live & work in the US (had the necessary work permit and got my SSN) but my SSN had the disclaimer that is was only valid with my work permit which has now expired. Do you know whether I will be issued a new SSN upon entering the US as a PR or if my original SSN will still stand?

Easy all you have to do is go straight away to SS office when you get to US and show you 551 stamp (Temp green card stamp) they will order you up a new SS card (same number. You keep that for life) without the wording on it. East Pizzy.

At least in your case you can apply for work and credit and go to bank and be added soon as you get off plane since you have a SSN.

Hi everyone! I have not filed my IV package yet (I know :( I've been so busy with school) but I was wondering if anyone knows if I also have to send in a court/prison record with the police report for filing with the London embassy (my husband is from England) and I only have a police report. He does not have a criminal record, so do i still need to send in a Court/prison record with the IV package? Thanks!! I don't want a check list :(

Hey no it hasn't arrived yet, the holiday weekend kills us. I just got a text message from usps that it has arrived in New Hampshire, but its not out for delivery yet. So either today or tomorrow.

The checklist says allow for another 30 days from when they receive it. But I have heard some people getting their CC after a week, so I guess it really just depends on how lucky we get. Maybe if the checklist was small it goes faster? Who knows.

Ive been pessimistic so I have told anyone that asks me for an update 30-45 days and secretly hoping its much faster!

ClintonChrissy: We are all here! You're not alone!

Update: I received a Checklist email from NVC for a PCC hours ago. I called them up and was told that It is just procedure that they send it to my husband and I since we didn't send it in with the IV package (because the Fiji Police Force don't give out PCC's to individuals so in this case it gets sent straight to the embassy) and for me to have it at the interview.

Now honestly, I really thought this was an email for my interview appointment!(P4) LOL

I called NVC and chose opt 4 which gets you though to the CSR pretty quick! I asked the rep about the interviews AGAIN because i am sooo anxious! lol He told me, that by the end of the month the Embassies will send in their available dates and NVC will assign the interviews. They will assign the earliest interview dates for those who have had their case completed at NVC the earliest. Now, let's hope and see ^_^

Ok so a few more questions (sorry I'm getting a little confused). I'm about to send off my IV package (finally) but I was wondering if I have to send in my divorce decree and my birth certificates (I am the petitioner) as well, or is this just the beneficiary's information? Also on the AOS form, the "current individual annual income" is just a guess based on how much I make per hour. Is this ok? I'm submitting recent pay stubs (past 6 months) along with all my w2 forms, tax returns and tax transcripts for 2014, 2013, 2012 (I haven't completed taxes for 2015 yet). Also my current pay stubs do not reflect very much because it's "year to date" amount (as of 02/05/16, it's about $7,000). Will this be a problem? Thanks and sorry for all the questions.

Hey atxadri

The IV package requires just the beneficiary's information not the petitioner's. And yes your current annual income is what you earn per hour, times how many hours a week you work, then multiplied by 52 weeks. Since you are sending in all past three years taxes, I am assuming that they are well above the poverty guidelines, so (last years and beginning of this year's) pay stubs and a letter from your employer to prove your current income and of course add in the tax transcripts
