Hi to all , sorry if this question has already been answered but I couldnt find a post with the info I need. I met my boyfriend last year while on vacation in Bradenton Florida. I have been visiting him as much as I can we are in love, and we both want for myself and my son (5 years old) to go live with him there. We know we have to marry but we dont know how to apply for me to get Permanent Residence. Also , he has been to jail in the past 2 years for a suspended licence , would that affect our application negatively? thanks to whoever can help

If you look at the top of the page then look at guide then you can read about the different visas.

K-1 Fiancee visa (This one you will get to USA when the visa is approved and you will have to marry in the US within 90 days) Take about 4-6 months right now. After you are married you will have to apply for AOS to get your green card.

CR-1 spouse visa (This one you can get married anywhere you want to and when visa is approved you can move to the US) takes about a year.

Here you will get your green card not long after you arrive.

Oh and for both ones your daughter will be a K-2/CR-2. You will need a note from the other parent saying you are aloud to take her to USA permanently.

Please check out the comparison guides. :) First you need a visa.
