K-1 visa documents help

The K-1 visa guide says i need to send them intent to marry and passport photos of both me and my fiancee. But my fiancee is in Brazil so what can i do?? does it have to be her original handwriting and her actual photo or can they be photocopies? there is almost no way i can get this for the time being. Will this delay even more our chance of getting her the visa?? please help

What do you mean chance of approval. Those items are required. Have you filed already?

She needs to send those to your for submission. Real photos. Wet Signatures.

They are going to want wet signatures for the intent to marry, and you would be safer to send in the actual photos (some guides are adamant that they are on high quality photo paper).

Is this for the I-129f packet? Or later is the process?

If it's for I-129f your fiance will also need to fill out and sign the G325 as well. Really the only way to do this is to have them mail the documents and pictures to you..

Yes it needs to be an original signature from her on the letter of intent and it needs to be an actual photo of her, the photo has specific size requirements as well that need to be met. Most of us either sent these things in the post to our us citizen petitioner or they took them back with them when they visited us.

Should be easy enough for your fiance to send these things to you via an international mail carrier like DHL or Fedex. Granted, it will be a little pricey but welcome to the world of immigration. You're going to have all kinds of costs that you hadn't expected before it's all over.

This is for the i-129f package. I'm the US citizen living in NY and my fiancee is in Brazil.. i started reading through the process today after we decided yesterday that we were going to do the visa.

So reading through the guide i found that i would need those particular documents. It made me and her sad that we will need wet signatures, the original photo and all for that will only take even more time.

I'm saying this because on a more personal matter me and her are desperate to be together soon. I think anyone who ever laid on bed at night without your loved one for a while understands what its like

I understand what you are coming from.

Realistically though, the time it will take to mail the photos and signed documents is nothing compared to the wait for your petition to be approved, the wait for your case to be sent to the foreign embassy, the wait for your interview, etc.

It's a long and difficult process. You will need to come to terms with that.

Well real signatures and photos isn't a ton to ask for realistically for immigration. You just started researching yesterday...no reason to be so hard on yourself. You decided yesterday to do the visa and already upset on timing, better get used to it real quick.

Just mail/ship them its not that big a deal in the whole scope of anything. Expedite it and stuff. You have to realize...you can't really slow fly stuff. Planes dont fly slower from brazil to NY. so Its not going to take that long. Relax.
