:(:crying: I am confused, angry, worried and pissed and these are just some of the few emotions that are going thru my mind and heart...My fiance had his interview in the now infamous and much feared consulate in Casablanca, Morocco...the "lovely" woman who conducted the interview just looked at our e-mails and nothing else, asked numerous him questions about me and handed him a 221g form with option 1 marked as the reason for it and told him that he would be contacted in 2 weeks...what does it mean? I am lost...I will find out tonight as to the exact language of the form as his english is not the greatest (we both speak Spanish) so I am totally not sure what to think...are we doomed? any suggestions??? :help:

Thank you all for listening...

Dorothy

Looks like typical AR/AP. Almost all men get this coming from Islamic countries are given some type of AR/AP. I posted to you in your other thread. Keep your chin up.

Dorothy,

Hard to comment until we know what "option 1" is.

I'm curious about something about the visa application and interview process in Morocco - do the application materials get turned in prior to speaking to the interviewer, or do they get turned in only after coming face-to-face with the interviewer?

Yodrak

The beneficary only turns in their materials only at the time of the face-to-face interview....as I understand my husband anyway.

Option #1 is the 221g which can either be *AR [not a bad thing] OR *Being sent back to USCIS for further review........otherwise a Denial--which they tell you they are sending the whole petition back...but not really...they are just sending a letter in a diplomatic pouch to USCIS requestion further review or revolking an apporval

This is how I understand it anyway....

Well, Yodrak

as for the evidence part of application that gets turned in at the interview time...in our case the officer only asked about e-mails and did not look at anything else and did not keep anything...just send him of with 221g and a promise that he will be contacted in 2 weeks...so that is all at this time that I know

thanks

Mary,

Thanks for the information about submitting materials.

With regard to the 221(g) paper, you've reversed the wording from what Ella and I used, and so I wonder if there might some miscommunication. We're not asking about the 221(g) paper being option 1, we're asking about what is the first item on the 221(g) paper. 221(g) covers a wide range of possibilities for why a visa application is deficient.

Yordak, I will get the entire wording tonight and know for sure what is happening and then I guess we will see what will happen next. One thing I know for sure, I am not giving up without a fight...Love will conquer all - that is my state of mind and got to stay positive, even it seems that it is not an easy task when you deal with Casablanca.

Thanks

I have a feeling you're ok. If they told your fiance they'd contact him in 2 weeks, you're probably just in administrative processing. They told my fiance the same thing.

They wouldn't have told him to expect a call if they were planning on returning his petition to the US

Option 1 states

Your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made. This office will contact you once this administrative processing has been completed.

Dorothy it really sounds like name checks I do not think you need to worry of moving. My husband got the same thing and the CO told us we were fine just need processing and we contacted the embassy and told us again fine just needs processing. Seems his name is being check in the data bases now.

but... let me add this its hard to comment on what 221g is in her case.

because OPTION 1 for morocco getting a petiton sent back is OPTION 1

Kiya< or one of the other ladies > from morocco posted her letter for intent to deny.

so really until she gets the correct wording its hard to say.

This sounds typical of that embassy. I wish you good luck! There are a lot of posts similar to yours so you might try to search for you embassy and see what others have posted.
