Hello, I am a US citizen and I am in the process to file I-130 for my wife. What should I submit as proof of our bona fide marriage, we have been married for a month and we don't have any kids, bank accounts, nor joint property. What should I submit?

My wife applied for a visa twice and was denied would that affect the case or her interview at the embassy?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when my husband filed for our I-130 we were only less than a month married.. so what we sent were, marriage certificate, some pictures during the ceremony, pictures of us together, boarding passes, plane tickets, fb, skype and other chat logs that showed constant communication and shows some long term plans.. doesn't need to be exactly showing long term plans but just to show that you two stayed in touch even apart.. 2 affidavits, one from my sister and one from his mom.. the main evidence really is the marriage certificate and the others are good supporting evidences.

goodluck! :)

getting denied twice for a tourist visa won't affect her case because she probably was denied due to not having strong ties (just assuming you can correct me) so they are preventing tourists from trying to immigrate illegally. it is completely separate and won't affect at all. sorry I am bad at explaining. :D

Great thank very much for the information and for the timeline below. Did they ask you for any additional information after you submitted what you mentioned?

Is all I need to submit is: I-130

G-325 for both of US

I-864A affidavit of support

and G-1145 optional right?

did you receive your green card automatically or do I need to submit I-485 along with the I-130?

By the way your explanation was excellent

Avital

thank you very much

Are you doing the CR/IR-1 visa or adjusting status? Meaning is your wife in her home country awaiting the immigration process or is she already in the US? I-485 is for people adjusting status.

You don't send the affidavit of support (i-864) with your petition, you wait with that until you're at NVC.

So for the I-130 you need:

G-325a for the both of you

I-130

2 passport style photo

Proof of petitioner's US status, such as birth cert

Proof that you're married, which is the marriage cert and doesn't prove a bona fida marriage, it just shows you're married

Proof of a bona fida relationship, such as photos, chat logs, phone records, passport stamps/boarding passes of time spent together. Proof of face to face time is the strongest evidence you can send.

Where's your wife from, i.e. which embassy will she attend for her interview? If it's a high fraud/tough embassy, you need to front load your I-130 petition with as much bona fida proof as you can gather.

You said your wife was denied a visa twice before, was it tourist/business visas or immigration visas? Being denied tourist/business visas will not affect the CR/IR-1 you're going for now.

Good luck on your visa journey.

In addition to what everyone has suggested, you can submit a program from your wedding, if you have one, greeting cards from well wishers, affidavits from friends and family who know of your marriage, support it and was present at the cermony. When I submitted my I-130 petition I even included original church bulletins where they announced our wedding and church members were invited to attend. Another thought is to submit a benefits confirmation from work that shows your spouse as your beneficiary.
