Hi guys,

I have questions regarding my fiance PoE.

I am currently living and working CA. And on K1 visa documents and sponsoring is listed at my current address in CA. However, for my fiance's PoE, we decided to meet in PDX airport in Portland, OR. The reason is that my parents lived in Portland, OR and we wanted to land there to spend some time with my parents and relatives first for the weekend before fly back to CA.

Examples Timeline:

-Friday evening: Fiance land at PDX airport - Portland, Oregon.

-Friday evening: I fly from LAX and meet my fiance at PDX aiport.

-Friday to Sunday: Spend time with my parents/family in Portland, OR.

-Monday morning: We fly back to CA.

----Get married, apply for AOS...etc...

Questions:

Would this cause any concerns later for AOS process?

Thanks,

Nope, POE will have no affect when adjusting.

Your fiance can land anywhere in the USA at POE, and likewise travel anywhere in the USA after POE. My friend's wife's POE was in Orlando, Florida. They spent time in Walt Disney World, got married there (in Disney), then flew back to their home in New Jersey.

Thanks,

Just incase she is worried about the trip from PDX to LAX Monday, morning. All she has to do is show the TSA agent her passport and boarding pass. The TSA agent will make certain the passport is valid, the names match, and her flight leaves that day. They will not care about her K-1 visa nor any other page besides the biographic page. TSA is not CBP nor is TSA a legal LEO.. She will not see a CBP agent on the Monday trip--if she does it is a very rare event.

Have a safe flight.
