Hello,

I got my NOA2 Case approved on September 21 and I got the letter of approval on September 27. I called National Visa Centre today to enquire about my case and they said they haven’t got my Case yet. How much time does it take from USCIS to forward to NVC and further how much time does the NVC take to forward it to embassy?

You have to wait for NVC to send you MTL. Then you have to wait for consulate to send your fiancee a letter of what to do next.

A# is an alien registration number that she will need when she arrives in the U.S.

They are supposed to send you mail within 30 days with case number (MTLXXXXXXXXXX). But in my case, they did not. I called them after 45 days and told them I never got any mail with case number and they told me that my case has been sent to consulate already and gave me the case number over the phone.

So, I would suggest wait for 30 days or more from NOA2 and then contact them if you didn't get anything.

I have read wait 2 weeks and wait 30 days before contacting the NVC. Generally, we should wait 30 days- so says the letter as well. I suspect those of us that have an issue with patience in this area will be checking sooner rather than later. Blessings and what an exciting journey we are sharing together.

i am ready to mail my fiancee. the completed and approved I-129F. and the I-134. Affidavit of Support, she lives in Cebu, Philippines. how would you recommend i mail/send these documents to her?

also, do we need the MNL #. before we can go on line and apply for the visa and schedule the interview?

Do not mail your approved I-129F. That is yours to keep in the US. If you lose it, she will have problem applying for SSN/work permit/etc later on. You can email or fax her the I-134 with your signature along with proof of income and proof of domicile papers.

If you do not have MNL#, call NVC after 30 days of receiving the approved I-129F letter and ask them for it. Embassy will contact your fiancee for what to do next.
