What to do with job opportunity outside US?

Hello,

I have been a Permanent resident for nearly 4 years now and there is a potential opportunity for me to take a job with one of my employer's subsidiaries ... in Dublin, Ireland.

Moving to Ireland has been something that was intriguing about my employer all along and now that I've worked my way up to a point where I can realistically expect to get a position in Ireland I need to start doing my research.

Does anyone on here have experience with non-military jobs outside of the US? I had been planning on getting my citizenship but the perfect job opportunity just came up and I couldn't pass it up so I applied for it.

My online research taught me about the re-entry permits, which appeared to be a good option but given that my wife and I are planning on staying in Dublin for up to 5 years it may not be ideal after all.

Curious to hear if anyone has first hand experience and you went about it all from an immigration status perspective.

Gonna start the naturalization process soon, I wonder what impact the election will have on immigration request volume though. Should be interesting.
