On August 20, I got a response that my form I-130 was received. Up until now, I haven't gotten any other response. What could be the reason? Please any one with same issue as mine.

Same, though I sent my I-130 on July 30. I emailed LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov , with a reply with things I already know. I called them but her answers were obviously from a manual because she wasn't answering my questions directly. It will take months to receive any updates on my case and probably yours too. We filed for the I-130 rather than the K-1 Visa because our Philippines consulate recommended this route. I'm back in the states missing my husband and waiting for our life to start as a family. It probably will take two years for him to be able to come here as I been told by others' experience. I thought it'd take just a few months...

If anyone has better news please let me know! :joy:

Calistus, FandL32515, & needbo2,

Each case is different and all I-130 current processing times can be looked at by selecting your office or center here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do

For example, if you select the USCIS Processing Time Information for the California Service Center and look at the chart for I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21, it is currently taking 5 months.

However, I believe certain countries (like maybe the Philippines) have shorter times for some reason... And I have also read here that certain service centers are processing cases a lot faster than the processing times posted on that site. For example, California, reportedly taking 2 months.

Check out cases similar to yours here on the VJ timelines, to get a more accurate timeframe from other's experiences:

Good Luck!

First what do you mean no other response you got? Aside from your paper copy of receipt (I-797) what we call the NOA1. Nothing else is going to happen until they adjudicate your petition. That's taking it out of the box and start reviewing it. Based on How California Service is processing (Your service center according to you profile) is 2 to 5 months.

Did you register on USCIS.GOV your receipt number and signup for future emails and text? If not you need to do that

The time frame as stated for form I-130 is 5 months. Do they really work with that time frame? Is there anybody here that got his or her's ready within the stipulated time period of 5months? Please let me know.
