In Manila, they will check your passport to see if you have both your visa and your CFO sticker. My wife was not questioned in Manila. At Point of Entry in the USA, however, be prepared with the following:

1. Your sealed packet.

2. Your medical records.

3. Your passport/Visa

4. It's a good idea to have other personal records on hand like your birth certificate and another ID.

You will be asked a few brief questions before you go into secondary. Some questions include:

1. What is your name?

2. What is your date of birth?

3. What is your business in America?

4. What is your wife/husband's name? (This is a trick question they ask K-1 Visa holders, if you answer with his/her name, you basically just acknowledged you are married). They asked my wife this question and she replied, "I am not married, but my fiance's name is Michael."

In secondary it was a bit more informal, and asked her questions about her country, her family life and plans for the wedding. She actually felt more relaxed in secondary than at POE, haha.

I mean normal questions asked in Manila by Immigration officers.

There are no questions, like said they check your visa and verify you have your CFO sticker. It is sort of a non-experience if you have those things

Thank you Mike for all the very great information that I had to prepare the same for myself too. I just arrived in the US yesterday. All went smoothly from Manila to POE. In Manila I was only asked my purpose for travelling to the States and Immigration Officer checked at my visa and CFO sticker and stamped my passport.

At the POE, I only spent a minute of interview. Very few questions were asked. I was asked for the following:

1. Is this your first entry on a K1 visa?

2. Did you work in the Philippines before? What kind of job did you have there?

I handed him the Visa Packet, Medical Record and CD for my X-ray but he said he only need the Visa Packet. He then reminded me of the 90 days I have in the States and asked for my wedding date. All else went smoothly. No hassle. CBP Officer was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Thanks God!
