Hi guys, so I have a question here. We filed our application last August and got our NOA2 already. We are just getting ready for the interview and that we have two red flags. We have a significant age gap of 29 years and that we have just been talking for 8 months now. We have seen each other twice. Both of us has never been married and no criminal records either. So my main concern is about the age difference, would they question that and the length of time that we have been dating? We just want to start our life together-together. Thank you all

You may have been better served posting this question in the Manila forum. Some USEM's in certain areas of the world are more critical of this, but it seems that Manila may be an easier post. Your case would be stronger if you two have met up several times and had a longer relationship, as that is a large age gap. However, if your CO doesn't bring up anything about it, then it's no problem. Some have had severe issues with this and others haven't had an issues at all. Bring as much evidence of relationship as possible.

Our age difference is only 7 years, but I was wondering if they would bring that up during our interview, but they didn't. If they ask why you would marry someone with that large age discrepancy, be honest. Even though Manila may be one of the fastest posts, be prepared for that question to come up.

Thank you for the reply and you are right I should move it to Manila forum..

Would it at least help make our chances of getting approved higher if he comes with me on the interview?

I think if your fiance comes, I think that will help. Even if they don't speak with him, that will still imprint on the CO's mind. Make sure he can attend the interview with you and can at least wait with you before making his travel plans. I wish you the best!

I don't think you have to worry about that as long you two provide a bonafide relationship. My husband and I has 20 years age gap. Came here w fiance visa and been married for 3 years now.

Thank you, I feel better

All we have to prove our continuous relationship from the time we filed are our daily chats. Would that be enough?
