Okay first off let me thank you for taking the time to read this. So here's my problem. Trying to get my name fixed on my marriage certificate. So here is my problem they put me as my own father and refused to correct it. I've had to go to countless hoops from obtaining notarized letters stating that my father is my father and I'm not my own father they rejected that. And this is all aggravating to me because 6 months ago when we are going to request this fix in the first place the guy who signs the NFL paperwork retired and it took him six months to get a new guy and a month for them to be authorized to sign paperwork. So here's my question they messed up on my dad's birth certificate they forgot one letter. Does it matter if it has an error on my NSO to turn in for the visa procg it's exactly how it is on his birth certificate with the messed up letter. And is there any way with my wife's cr-1 is processing that I can get her over here in the meantime? This is already 6 months behind due to the Filipino government lack of ability to properly run their government I just want to be with my wife already.

I will have mine fixed in just 1 month because we know someone from the NSO I don't recommend this kind of transaction but if you want fast processing in the Philippines, you are going to pay. That's how it is.

Normally they are not going to fail you on just one letter misplaced or missing. So relax and take a deep breath.

As for the other problem I can't say what needs to be done with that. There are ways to get things done in the Philippines fast but I can't comment on what, when, and who can help you. Your pretty much on your own. I find asking family helps uncover what is covered. You need to be creative.

You can try and go through your interview and not mention any of those "errors" and see if they are caught and if seen and asked for  I don't know much about that. blah blah. Let sleeping dogs lie and you may pass your visa interview. If they see it then they will issue you a RFE and you get it fixed and return.

That is the quickest and fastest way to fix an error.........

If your dad has an NSO issued bcert with his correct name and your only problem is your marriage certificate having his name mispelled with 1 wrong or missed letter probably it'll be enough for you to show his birth certificate as proof that "...... Is your dad's real name" but im kind of confused when you said "Does it matter if it has an error on my NSO to turn in for the visa it's exactly how it is on his birth certificate with the messed up letter." So are you saying..... For example your dad is "JOHN SANTOS" with his NSO b.cert, and in your marriage certificate state that he's "JOHN SANTOS" then he uses JON SANTOS then there's no way for you to correct that quickly. First your dad's name on his NSO birth certificate needs to corrected followed next with your marriage ceritificate. your Municipal Clerk can fix that for you on a standard government expedited process for a higher fee but as for the Filipino Governement.... A faster expedite would be available depending on "who you know, and what you can give" sorry but i's true. Back with your dad, if he gets his name changed.... That will conflict on his school records and other stuff too so better consult it with your dad. Not that i blame you but isn't it that the "Local Civil Registrar's clerk will have you to double check all the entries on your marriage certificate before you sign and it gets forwarded to NSO?" The key is, be careful on all the things you fill up... Double, triple check everything. Your wife can apply for a NIV but then she must be able to prove to the cosul (interviewer) that she has no intent to overstay and be an illegal alien in the US while her immigrant visa petition is on process. There's a high percentage of Nonimmigrant Visa refusal here in the Philippines because of section 214(b) of the INA where the consuls assume that the applicant is an intending immigrant. I feel how much you want to be with your wife, we've all been through this very frustrating journey. I hope time flies and you get your problem solved soon as possible,

Are you trying to fix this at the local registry or NSO (PSA) ?
