I got notification saying that

"On September 17, 2015, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXX, because they could not deliver it. This could have a serious effect on your case. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice immediately. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

We already received the interview notice last month. My wife and step daughter are set to be interviewed this month. What notice could they be referring to? Is there a number I can call to ask about this?

If you filed the EAP/AP at the same time as the AOS, then it could be the I-765 notice--they do not send out a notice for the I-131. It also shows that your letter carrier is returning mail addressed to the foreign spouse because they do not think they actually live there. This happened to us. We received the BIO letter for the I-485 and then I received a text and e-mail that a notice was returned. I called the phone number--have the spouse that is applying for AOS present so they can give permission for you to talk on their behalf or have them do the talking--and I had them re-send the letter. I then went to the USPS and asked them why our mail was returned. The reply I kept getting was, "Is her name on the mailbox?" So I put her name on the mail box along with mine and I also completed the forms at the USPS to identify who lives at that address and is to receive mail.

I would address the mail issue with the postoffice and I would call the number to have the notice resent as they may be changing the interview date or who knows, but it is best to have all notices from the USCIS.
