I filed the I-130 and I-485 forms for my new wife and stepdaughter adjusting from B2 visas. As far as I know I've gotten all correspondence. We got the "filed" letters within a week of filing. We got the "biometrics" letters a week or so after that. But I also got emails and texts that I had a returned piece of mail. I called the USCIS...we spoke to someone there that said that everything appeared to be in order and that it may have just been a mistake. We haven't moved...and the other letters we received were properly addressed...and I double checked my address on all my filings...it is correct as well.

In any case...we went to the bio appointment as scheduled. Did the screenings. It has been a few weeks...and our USCIS status still shows "Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It".

So the question is... Is there some other letter that I should have gotten at this stage? If so, what could it be? Also, how long after the bio do they update the status? And should I be worried that it hasn't been changed? Has this occurred to anyone else?

We filed with the Chicago lock box...but our local office is Dallas. Thoughts?

Followed the request for duplicate process. Just received a response a couple of days ago. It was a copy of the notice for the fingerprinting appointment. We apparently were sent one for each I-130 and I-485 for both my wife and daughter. We got the ones for the I-130...so we made it to the appointment, but not the I-485s. The response letter said we are awaiting an interview date now, and it included a copy of the notice. So all is well. The letter said we should be getting notice of the interview within 90 days. Fingers crossed!

There is no biometrics associated with an I-130, other than in very rare cases for the US citizen petitioner under the Adam Walsh Act.
