In an economically mobile society things should get better for people over time. Yet black Americans occupy its lowest rung going back decades.... And you think illegal immigration is somehow relevant here. SMH.

Why do you think black Americans occupy the lowest rung on the economic ladder?

I agree with you on this one bit - It will take a severe reach-out to make it happen, but it's do-able, even within this decade.

The thing is people are using black people as a reason to "get rid" of illegal immigrants. And the "reward" will be the possibility to apply for some low skilled jobs. laughable! If you want to entice me, how about offering something that is a lot bigger than the opportunity to apply for a low skilled job, likeeeeee, wait for it..... EQUALITY!

Nah - 'black people' are just a piece of the pie.

The other demographic that suffers just as much as young black people seeking the low-rung jobs,

are ALL teenagers and early-twenties crowd. In the missive I submitted way back, I identified these groups also, with 'black people' lumped in as a percentage of job-filling-humans that would benefit from illegal aliens being absent.

It all focused on the lowest rung in the upward mobility ladder being reclaimed for USCitizens, really.

It's not that 'people' are using this as a reason, really. Instead, The Black Caucus has been presented a piece of the problem with a piece of the solution, and asked to focus on their demographic. That's it, that's all. I'm sorry you feel others were excluded or it's just The Black People that need Illegals Gone from within the borders of the USA. It's ok, though, as the road to middle class society has eroded over the last 10 years.

As to your pitch for EQUALITY, all things considered, mostly, ya got it. Sure, there are outliers, but these exist due to drug usage and the partners of baby mama's, with a support system in place.

Will there be 'more equality' when marijuana usage is no longer a federal offense? Let's see, aye?
