Timeline

whats the average consular processing time for IR1 visas in islambad embassy,once the interview is done and they have your passport?

i need to plan my other travel plans ,so i want to have a rough idea :S

You should also check out the waivers and AP forum for Islamabad approvals who have spent significant time in AP.

There is no set time unless you are told at the interview that you will get your visa in 7 to 10 days. Anything other than that could take months or years. With Islamabad embassy never assume you will get the visa on the spot always be prepared for a long wait.

as above said it varies from case to case but if you are lucky enough to get the visa on the day it's so cool but if you're asked to wait aka AP then it could take months or even a year or so.
