question worry on the i-129f

Ok so im starting to get a lil worried now over 2 things my fiancé wrote on the I-129f .

I was looking over the paper work and noticed he put completely the wrong date that we met, he said aug 2013 in fact it was may 2014. Do you think this will be a big issue?

Also I read a post about question 34a on the 1-129f asking you to describe the circumstances on how you met, he just put that we met online via a dating service, I read that this can get you a RFE, has that happen to anyone?

If we were to get an RFE would we of received it already, we filed back in feb this year at the Texas service centre, going by processing times we should be getting the NOA2 very soon.

The date might come into question when you do to your interview. You need to both be on the same page about everything. It could trigger an RFE if conflicts with any other information in your petition.

The desribe circumstances in which you met, generally requires a little bit more info, so I was told by the visa agency I used. Also it may need to be clarified that you met on a dating website or used a dating service. A dating service requires they add their names to the petition. It you just met online with a dating website, no big deal. Either way I see your cause for concern. Have you been able to inquire about the status of your case?

We have called the USCIS a few times but mostly to enquire about a possible processing time, they have never mentioned any problems but I don't know if they would, would they? If we were going to get a RFE about the how we met do you think we would of got that already or is that something you would get as they process the NOA 2?

When they start working on your case, you'll get the RFE if they need more information. RFE's are never fun BUT it does mean that someone is actively working on your case.

You might get an RFE just to prove that the website you met on was not an IMB. To reply to that RFE, just go to the website and search their terms and conditions where it states that they are not an IMB and send it in. I've heard that the statement for that question on the I-129F should read something like:

"I met (name) online on Facebook in 2012. I traveled to (place) and visited (beneficiary/petitioner) from (date) to (date)".

Been waiting 6 months this month to get our NOA2 so a RFE at this point would be just "ugh".....fingers are crossed that we don't but kinda expecting it.
