I normally am more patient than this, but after seeing many Oct/Nov fliers have got their NOA2, I can't help but panic. thanks all for the kind words. i'll keep my hopes up.

I think you're doing incredibly well.

I know that it's really easier said than done to "be calm and stop worrying"... I'm pretty sure in the coming days, I'd be in the same situation as ch1ch1... But knowing that there will be a lot of people here who will boost my spirit up, the waiting will surely a lot tolerable. Right now, I'm already panicking upon seeing some December filers getting approved and some Oct/Nov left without NOA2... Too many "what ifs" to battle with and even though it's too early for me to feel this way, it's impossible not too especially when your happiness is at stake... I sure hope this week will be the easiest for those who are still waiting...

Good luck to all of us!

Mae

Trust me when I say its easier said than done to just 'calm down' or 'take a valium'.

We all realize patience is necessary in this process - but when everyone else whizzes past you for reasons you are not privy to, your patience unfortunately starts to wane. Being told to 'take a valium' is a tad inconsiderate, esp. from people who got their NOA2s in record time.

I wouldn't wish the wait that ch1ch1 has had on anyone.

Hey TracyTN :)

I think we all know how hard it is to just calm down and not worry. We all went through our share of wait, stress, impatience, comparison, hope and "high expectations". But eventually we all do and will get there. I know... it's "easy" for me to say - my wait is over... at least NOA2!

But I think that RichardS meant it in a fun and supportive way. I read it as "valium is the only thing that would help you deal with USCIS waiting times". We all do it the best we can. And it differs from day to day. I remember times when I was taking all the frustration out on my fiance because I had enough of waiting for NOA2. Just as well he loves me enough to know why I was so jumpy. Thank God, together you manage to get through such times as well.

Ch1ch1... patience doesn't come easily to any of us. Good luck and I hope you don't wait much longer!

i called USCIS today and finally got someone knowledgeable on the phone. he told me my case is now in the final stage of FBI checking so i should be expecting my NOA2 soon. yayyy!!!! i'm not sure why the FBI checking is taking so long though, probably because i changed my name at some point. i read somewhere that if the applicant/petitioner has had a name change, the FBI checking part would take longer for more thorough inspection. i hope my current name is not on one of their black/watch list. 'cause if that's the case, it'd take even longer for the Bureau to clear my name.

now i can relax a bit knowing i'm gonna get my NOA2 soon. :-)

Kind of off topic but... I have a friend who's name is James Bond..yes, it's true and it gets worse..his middle name is Dean.. now I'm not sure that name or name-combination would ever be on a black/watch-list, but Id bet that folder would get passed around a lot at the FBI..."Hey Bob, ya gotta see this..." hope he never has to go throush USCIS...

:ot2:

I hope to see a "I got my NOA2" posting from ya soon..

I really really feel for you, ch1ch1 and TracyTN. I saw all the other Oct filers speed past me before I got my NOA2. It just isn't fair that it takes sooo long for a few left behind! I just felt like screaming in frustration every hour of every day! I'm praying that both of you get yours VERY SOON!!

Wow great, at least you know what's going on! That's a relief. But how irritating about the name check taking soooo long!
