Last summer I was with my fiancé in the U.S. On a j1 visa, however I came home in August and we called it quits in November as we were having problems and were not sure of where our relationship was going. We remained friends an in May he was going to give me a trip as a graduation gift and my visa was denied. He visited me in June and I realized that he hadn't been seeing anyone vice versa so we decided that we were going to do the right thing as we have been together since 2013. We got engaged and he filed a k1 visa and our petition was approved but I'm worried that our visa will be denied as I only mentioned him as a friend and not my ex at the b2 interview. Plz I need some insight. We have been through a lot and it would break my heart if we get our k1 denied.

Being denied a tourist visa due to lack of ties to your home country has no impact on getting a K-1 visa.
