I picked up my immunization record from my family doctor yesterday and I'm worried. I showed the receptionist what I need for my medical/interview and she told me I only needed my MMR (mumps measles rubella) vaccine. I made an appointment for that shot for July 29.

I'm not sure I have what I need. What's the shot that takes two separate injections? I've seen it here but I couldn't remember what it was when I was at the doctor's office yesterday.

Anyway, here's my record:

in 1986: diphtheria tetanus polio

in 2010: diphtheria tetanus pertussis

and that's it.

Don't I have to get a Hep-B shot (or is that the two stage one)? I had chicken pox when I was 21 so I don't need that one.

I'm worried I won't have enough time to get what I need! I'm 42 and I have the sheet with what I need but you know, reassurance is always appreciated. I have an appointment with Dr Mascarenhas and it says on the confirmation email they don't administer any vaccines but I'm sure I've read on here they do, right?

As far as I understand you only need MMR and Diphtheria/Tetanus (for your age). Your last Dipht/Tet was given in the past 10 years (in 2010) so you may not need a booster now. MMR is all you need in my opinion. I need the same shots, but I was told I need both as I didn't have ANY of them in the past 10 years. This is what I was told.

Hope somebody else will chip in.
