Any Sopranos fans out there in VJ land? I was so stoked for the new season that I trucked down to my dad's house to watch it (I don't have cable).

Ok I only came in on the end of the show, and I'm having trouble remembering what happened last season but why did he do that?? And does he seriously think he's not going to get caught - shoving the gun under the bed?? DUH!!!!!!!!!

Junior is suffering from dementia, probably Alzheimer's-related. I think he thought that Tony was an old enemy.

My jaw about dropped when I saw Adriana. I was thinking, "Maybe she lived and escaped! Maybe Christuhfuh is hiding her someplace! Maybe..."

And then, of course, I was disappointed.

2 things that were interesting:

Christopher ordering Eugene to whack that guy in the fast food joint. Eugene wants to check with his captain Vito but christopher points out he is a captain and vito is cool with that (I know he was promoted, temporarily at least, when paulie was in prison, but when did this happen)

Vito saying he might be boss of the family one day

You wanna bet there's going to be a feud between chris and vito with tony incapacitated?

And do we really think Phil's soldier "hairdo" didn't know what he was doing when he hit Hesh's son-in-law?

If there is (and it's not a ludicrous thing to suggest), the smart money has got to be on Chris. Vito doesn't seem to be very well-liked, and his, uh, proclivities probably aren't going to stay buried for long. Chris's loyalty during the problems with Adriana won't be forgotten. (yuck, but true.)

I felt really badly for Eugene, though.

You remember that bird that appeared when chris and eugene got made -- it WAS the bird of bad luck!

Yeah -- Vito is obviously deluded, but if he really is a top earner he's going to have real sense of entitlement, and he appears to be tight with Phil (or is he colluding with Phil?).

I don't really watch this but someone told me that Tony was supposed to be dead, or look like he's dead. He can't be dead, I have a job for him!

I don't think he's dead yet. It surely doesn't look good, but he made it through to 911, so they'll probably send an ambulance by even though he lost consciousness before he could say anything.

And remember Tony getting on the scale earlier in the episode? It's harder to remove a bullet, or stop internal bleeding, if there are a lot of layers of fat involved.
