US-Canadian citizenship

I apologize if this has been asked elsewhere and I missed it; once my fiancé moves here on K1 visa and we marry, file AOS, etc will he remain a citizen of Canada as well?

Yes still a Cdn citizen..BUT not a resident, thus no long entitled to cdn healthcare---without paying for it of course......Even he Naturalizes and becomes a USA citizen he retains his Cdn citizenship....one actually has to fill out paperwork and pay a fee to relinquish Cdn citizenship

As long as you have a Canadian address and visit once every six months and continue to pay your provincial health care dues they cannot deny you. Edited July 11, 2015 by Bcrich82

This is not true. As soon as you are no longer a resident accepting free healthcare in Canada is fraud. You must be physically present 183 days of the year according to the healthcare act.

BC does allow for people to stay out of the province longer but keep residency, but that is if they're maintaining a residence there or temporarily move because of work or school, etc... However, when you become a resident somewhere else, even another province, you have to get insurance from that place because you no longer qualify for that province's health insurance.
