Hey guys,

We are working on the I-134 form right now, just wondering if Sam needs to go to the USCIS or embessy in the states to swear in front of a officer for sumitting the form? Please help!

Is it necessary to do that as long as he needs to fill in the form? What if his daddy is our main spousor, does Sam still need to be sworn before an officer to make it work?

:help:

No he just has to go to any Notary, his Bank may even have a Notary and they can probably notarize it for free. I even got them to notarize my tax form, but don't think thats necessary.

That is an excellent question. All he needs is a notary seal.

Dont pay any attention to the rude people that troll these forums 24/7. If THEY would read the I-134 themselves more carefully they would see it written a little confusing.

Sam and Julie,

Only to notarize the forms is needed, and like the others said, he can get a notary on his bank to notarize them. Good luck.

Yes, and had the OP read the instructions to the I-134 (or maybe you as well) you would have read the following regarding any requirement to swear before the USCIS. It is quite clear.

If you are in the United States, the affidavit may be sworn to or affirmed before an officer of U.S.Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) without the payment of fee, or before a notary public or other officers authorized to administer oaths for general purposes, in which case the official seal or certificate of authority to administer oaths must be affixed.

YMMV
