My in-laws household member or joint sponsor?

I have a question on what I need to send in.

My wife only makes 7K yearly working part time. She currently lives at her parents home. Her mother has agreed to be a sponsor.

My mother-in-law makes approx $100K yearly. Should she fill out a I-864 or I-864A? Is she part of the "household" (and be included in my wife's I-864) or should be put in as joint sponsor?

Got more questions after this is answered.

I-864 for each of them, your spouse and her mom.

Under Part 7 of the I-864, it says its Optional, but should I fill this out for my wife's I-864 since she doesn't meet poverty guidelines? She's using a joint sponsor, to meet requirements, so my assumption is no.

It's helpful to list the name of the part not just part 7. LOL Had to look up what the heck part 7 even was. Leave it blank if it's not included.
