Hi all,

we received our NOA2 Dec 6 and our notice from NVC a few days later. February is coming to a close and we still haven't gotten our Packet from the Embassy here in Manila. How long does it usually take? I noticed the NOA2 says it's only good for 3 months?? Until March 26.... Does this mean I'll have to start over if I don't get the packet soon? Anyone tried contacting the (909) number (costs $18) and would they know the status of our case? I've tried faxing a request to open a provisional file last Jan 20 but seems like it didn't help though when I called the Embassy mainline - I was given a different fax number from the one they had online so I faxed another request today stating that the NOA2 expires soon. I hope this will do something.

Have you tried going to the Manila embassy web site and entering the NVC case number?

THANKS for the advice CHAD!

For those of you who are in the same boat as we are, here's what you can do.

Go to the US Embassy Manila website -- http://manila.usembassy.gov --

Go to the CONSULAR & VISA SERVICE and select the IMMIGRANT VISA INFORMATION.

Scroll down a little and you'll see the CLICK HERE AND CHECK FOR YOUR CASE NUMBER

Do so and it will open a small window where you fill in your NVC number - starts with MNL

This will give you your St. Luke's Appointment Date and Embassy Appointment Date

Scroll futher down the page and you'll find instructions and files to download IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED your packet yet. I suppose you can download it from here and go on to your Medical appointment and interview.

Also e-mail or FAX them to extend your I-797 if necessary: E-mail Consivmanila@state.gov fax # (632) 338-4129

Thanks everyone.
