Hey Everyone,

So , me and my man are getting married next week ( Soooooo Excited !!)

I'll send the paperwork to the USCIS and I'll apply for the permission to work as well.

But I just realize that , I need to drive to go to work , but in OREGON you can only have a Driver's License if you have a SSN.

And I believe I will only receive my SSN when they send me my green card and etc (I think ???)

Can anyone help me with any information , I Do have a Brazilian driver's license , but it expired a year ago , I was in Brazil and I didn't fixed it. =( =( .

If you guys have any tips or advice please let me know.

Thank you all !

Daniel and Marcia:

The best way is to do it is get your license renewed in Brazil, but since your have a visa.....

It all depends on the Oregon DMV. Many states want to see that you have a stamp for I-551 which can take months. Easier to try to get another license before you leave Brazil and then you are OK to drive in Oregon and many US states.
