Interview in Nairobi today, husband got Yellow Paper. PLEASE HELP!

My husband had his interview in Nairobi this morning. They gave him a yellow paper asking for:

Affidavit of Support from Petitioner or Co-Sponsor (Form I-864) or Finance Affidavit of Support (Form I-134). Submit with IRS- generated transcript of the return from the previous year attainable at: (irs website). Co-Sponsors should include copy of passport of legal permanent resident card. THEY CIRCLED "CO-SPONSOR" AND UNDERLINED "IRS-GENERATED TRANSCRIPT OF THE TAX RETURN FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR". They also wrote (underneath in pen) 2012, 13, 14. In March, we got a checklist for filling out the I-864 incorrectly, so we sent a new I-864 with their 2011, 2012, and 2013 transcripts. But, now they want 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Problem is, my parents, the co-sponsors, haven't filed their taxes for 2014 yet. They did get an extension on their taxes and have until October this year to file. Can we send in the tax returns from 2012 & 2013, and then their 2014 W-2 forms with a copy of their extension approval for 2014? Also, I am in Kenya with my husband, so can my parents scan me over the new I-864 form they fill out?

Thanks for any and all advice. I'm super discouraged and upset. :(

Jenah

You might be able to get away with the extension but I'm not 100% sure that's probably going to be up to the embassy, would need proof of income of course . And no they can't scan it over they would have to mail it they do not take scanned copies and need their original signature on the 864 .

You parents may not be forced to file yet but the embassy can't be forced to give the visa until they have what they asked for. If your parents are supportive of your relationship I would suggest that they file now.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
