Best way to contact Montreal?

We have searched and tried a couple of different ways of contacting the Montreal Consulate after our case left the NVC. We read the Montreal guide, but the Department of State is no longer accepting calls for Visas. Is this true or is there a new number? I also tried to call Montreal directly and was told to email. I couldn't get through to a real person. Is the only way to contact them for updates through e-mail? Thanks!

Best way to contact Montreal?

Us citizen walk in during acs appointment. Not feasible for most, but you did ask for 'best'...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Email is only for K1. If it's a CR1/IR1 then there is an online form on the Ottawa Embassy website.

Sorry to bring this topic back to life but I was just about to ask this very question! So then what is the best way to find out if our petition has reached MTL, knowing that it left NVC 2 days ago and that my case tracker doesn't work yet? I'd like to know so that I can know when to email them the packet 3 info without having to wait forever for a packet that may or may not come.

Hey, I sent them an inquiry using their form and got a response in 2 business days - they hadn't processed my case yet. My tracker works now and has just changed to "Ready" today. From what I've read about MTL, we can now send in packet 3 to montreal-iv-dv@state.gov (follow instructions on packet 3 for MTL).
