Hi everyone...My wife and I went to the DMV today to get a NV ID card for her. We brought form I-797c, NOA...letter as proof of address for her...The teller accepted the letter and issued her a ID card...She made copies of the I-797c and kept the original green paper letter...Gave us the copies...we did'nt really notice until later this evening what had happened...Now we are kinda freaking out...Her appointment for Naturalization Initial Interview is July 15. Is the USCIS going to accept the copy of form I-797c or do we need to get the original back from DMV.....Has anyone had a similar experience with this....

Thanks for reply....Patrick

I would recommend going back and ask for original, you always have the original with you, and they keep copies. I would call ahead and explain what the situation is and you guys need it since is a major step is your lives. I'm not sure if at the interview it's necessary but I would want my originals to stay in my hands, it's our chase, they don't need anything else besides copies(DMV)
