We have sceduled an interview for July28. I saw they are having problems. We still have the interview that date? What should be do? I tried calling the embassy but the number appeared to not work? What happens if the interview can not be until after the NOA2 expires. ???? Any information on what is going on will be nice.

The petition can be renewed, so that is not an issue. Hopefully the 'glitch' will be taken care of and fixed before your interview next month. I would certainly hope that they do not take over a month to restore the issuance of passports and visas abroad. http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/news/technological-systems-issue.html

Ok. How do we renew if it comes to that? We did out forms on June 1st and they processed the payment on my credit card. I will call the embassy tomorrow. I just am nervous. We are so close.

Your interview was scheduled before it expired, so it should just be automatically extended by the consulate. You can always check with them to be sure, but I honestly do not think there is anything to worry about as far as the petition expiring goes.

Do not worry about your petition expiring, the embassy will automatically renew it for you.

I was reading into more articles about this, it say those that submitted their online application on or after June 9 will be affected. We submitted ours on June1. So hopefully we will be ok.

The problem is that all passports and visas being issued abroad have been halted. So, there will be a backlog piling up for those that get approved but cannot get a visa printed. I believe they should have it back up and running well before your interview, so you should be ok.
