So the most bizzare thing happened today. I called USCIS got transferred to tier 2. I explained I put in a service request from August 26 to change my address. The officer told me he will go ahead and change my address instead of submitting another request. He updated my address then he told me that he is sending a request to have my file transfered to the new state. Now I log in I see in my history that my address was updated and a new service request stating "request to have interview rescheduled". I never had an interview date before... Should I be worried or happy? All he told me today was he was going to send a message to Have case transfered from NY to NJ. Anyone ever had this happen to them

Traveled to Guatemala for one week. Showed my AP in SFO airport, they checked my fingerprints and I have to look in da camera. Then I have to go to a secondary room where they check and stamp my passport. Plus I renew my passport and I overstayed over 10 years and it's safe to travel with a AP while AOS. I wasn't nervous. Their where a lot of people in the room too. I have my interview on October the 5th.

Hi everyone :) My husband and I had our interview on 9/10/2015, 4 months after we submitted our documents. I was approved on the spot and then received my welcome notice, I-130 approval notice and the offical green card all together in the mail exactly 1 week later :) I want to share my interview experience with other people because I know how stressful this process can be.

Our appointment was at 8:30am. We arrived at 7:50am and waited 40 minutes before we were called in. We were interviewed together.

Firstly, the interview officer asked us to vow to say only the truth. After that, she asked my husband a few details in the I-130 form, and then asked me other details in the I-485 form (including the Yes or No questions).

Then she asked if we have any new documents that we wanted to share. We shared our recent photos with descriptions. She took a look at them carefully. Then we also showed her our new joint health insurance. After that, the interview officer asked us to show her all the documents that had both of our names on it. We gave her the copies of them all and she kept them too.

That was it. She didn't ask us how we met, when did we decide to get married or anything like that at all. She just told us about the 2-year green card, and that we need to make sure to submit the remove conditions application before the expiration date.

Good luck everyone! I am sure everything will be well.

My AOS Timeline (L)

05/15/15 AOS package sent

05/19/15 AOS Received by USCIS

06/01/15 NOA's hardcopies for I-485, I-765 (still waiting for NOA of I-130, we requested it to be sent again twice now)

06/15/15 Biometrics done

08/05/15 EAD Approval letter

08/14/15 Interview schedule received

08/19/15 EAD card received

09/10/15 We had our interview. Approved on the spot.

09/18/15 Received welcome notice, I-130 approval notice and the official green card in the mail :star:

Yes I know. The interview officer told us that the green card will take 2-3 weeks to arrive. So I was really surprised when I saw the status "card was mailed to me" online then received it after 1 week. But I was so glad that I didn't have to wait anymore. Good luck on your process.

Received an email this morning saying that our interview is scheduled on Monday Nov 2. Overall it took about 4.5 months from the time that USCIS received our application to this notice. Hoping to have green card by end of the year =)

Hi guys, Congrats on all the interviews! my case is still pending  my lawyer sent the response to the RFE 10 days ago and the case online hasn't changed yet, the officer at the interview said I was approved and even gave me the paper with the dates I could apply for ROC, but they only needed my husband's Long form birth certificate to approve the I130 and produce my card, I know this is the last step but the wait is killing me because we were planning our vacations for November and now I don't think that will be possible, hope to hear good news soon!
