Putting mail on hold and USCIS letters

I need to put my mail on hold because some no good bottom feeder ran it down and completely destroyed my mailbox. It's going to take my husband some time to put it back up. Would putting the mail on hold effect my biometrics? I know my USPS change of address caused it to be sent back to USCIS when I filed for OPT so I am really wary about messing with USCIS and USPS right now.
