can we use a personal check when paying for our aos? Our cheque does not have imprinted name and address yet. Thank you

Yes, you should be able to... But, you are going to need to write you name and address on the check/cheque in the area of the check/cheque where it should be so that the USCIS knows who you are. And, the name and address you write on the check/cheque must be the same as the address you provide as your mailing/home address on the AOS. I have done this with new checks/cheques in the past and it was not a problem with personal business, not necessarily with the USCIS.

To remove any uncertainty, you might consider just purchasing a money order to send with your AOS. It's much easier and won't raise any eyebrows in the use of a check that does not have your name preprinted on the check. I buy some from my grocery store, as I never use checks just my debit card, and the grocer only charges me .45 cents per transaction.

Send two MO. Split the fee in half they don't care.

Go to your bank and ask them to issue a bank check off your account, most times it is free.
