Hello All - Me and my wife both filed N-400 together with same date up-to the biometrics. But after we did our fingerprints my case is stuck at "Case is Received" status and my wife's case is scheduled for an interview next month. Nothing complicated in my case that would flag a delay. Is there something that I can do to get an update on my case on what is going on exactly as its more than a month since FP. Infopass appt. would be the last option.

I just called USICS to find out about my case and the officer didn't have much info except to provide an unrealistic info that my Field office Santa Ana, CA is currently processing applications submitted in October 2014. He was telling me to call back after 7-8 months. LOL WHAT A JOKE! I really wish USCIS provided better updates instead of telling some of us to wait for 7-8 months. Atleast we know where we stand.

@Nevin: They asking you to call after 7-8 is BS. They do not know what is going on with your case. Did you happen to ask for a Tier 2 officer? I have been hearing that they have more insights.

Just as I was pulling in our garage (just got home from work), I received an email notification . Low and behold, when I checked it, it was from USCIS.

"There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: NBC**********

Application Type: N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On August 25, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number NBC**********. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

I guess I'll receive the letter within the week. I'll update you guys on the exact date of my interview. Whew! Better put back the CD in my car.

Hi folks,

I just subscribed to this site today. I sent my package 3 months earlier than 5 years anniversary. I got finger printed on 30th June 2015 (early walk-in) and have not received any update since then. Unfortunately I cannot track my status online either as it still says "Case was received" and LUD is 11th June 2015. I see that typical timeline between finger printing and receiving interview letter is like 1 month, and I hope I am not stuck in background check! Good luck to everybody here, and my dates are as following..
