While I think the premise of the event is idiotic I wonder what being a former Marine has to do with any of it. Just like the acts of radical Islam do not indict an entire religion why would the actions of this guy embarrass or blow back on the Marine Corps?

However, this thread is yet further evidence that it has become acceptable on VJ to express thinly concealed hatred at 23% of the world's population. Sometimes people can only see how wrong that is when the target is closer to their heart.

I wouldn't call it thinly concealed. It's pretty much out in the open at this point.

Furthermore, I wonder if all these folks who champion the 1st and 2nd amendment who condone this message would do so if the roles were reversed. If a bunch of Muslims with t shirts saying F Christ showed up to a church armed to the teeth and on a mission to provoke Christians, what would the outcome be?
