Makala.....we should be well prepared for all the worse cases too...it gives us confidence....and the worse case for u is that ,most of the marriages in pak usually happened bcz of any relationship like cousins or same cost before marriage between couples.....so they may ask u this question how u people met or it was arranged or love marriage...there is 95% chance of this question.....whether u were searching her on the social sits or she was searching u at the social media....or u were met by chance....whatever it is tell them the true story which should be interesting....logical...sensible and irrational...nothing should be in the air or unbelievable...vague or less understandable.....i hope u will understand it now...

GUys i want to share with you something i confused. before interview letter, I received two letter from NVC, one was checklist to submit Proof of Saving/Checking of Petitioner(My wife) and after week i got another letter which says, NVC has received all necessary documentations of our and it completed and ready for interview. what i confused was that, is this checklist fake? since the nvc said. it has received all documents.

another question is that, I am going to take the required checklist documents they asked to interview day. whats mean Saving/Checking account? is it mean Bank statement or other things? I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks.

I didnt get call yet

You just call back on that no or American express office nearest to your home ....they will guide you.......don't forget to take token slip(which you receive at time of interview) for receiving of passport

I called to American express 2 days back .. a lady told me that make account on following website and take printout after filling the form

I am waiting for American express 's call and take complete detail at that time

Congrats to all that have their visas! It's great that the process is moving along!

I have a question that is off topic, but your experience will help us. Did you have a handwritten passport previously? If so, did you get a MRP before the interview? After the interview?

I see that Pakistan, like Afghanistan, has stated that the handwritten or old passports are not longer valid coming November 2015. My fiance has a handwritten one, but since he only had a week after coming home from the university and had to prepare other things for the interview, was not able to apply for the MRP yet. We were planning on getting his MRP after our marriage anyway because he doesn't have a last name and in US, he will need the last name. Right now, it's just dad's name. On the visa application, we cut his name in two. I think we should get his MRP like the way his visa application looks like, right? The thing is, the Afghan government has pushed similar plans back farther in the past, so we don't know if this will require us to get MRP now. We want him to come to the US before November.

Any experiences with a similar situation? Thanks

Signature coming soon...

So guys, we're being told that we should get NICOP and Protector of Emigrants stamp in our passports before "flying", otherwise we'll be hassled at Pakistan airport on exit and entry. The NICOP, I assume, is Pakistan law, and functions as an alternate CNIC/Passport. But what is the point of the Protector of Emigrants stamp? Why do we need to get it? Is it necessary? Has anybody any info about this?
