Is it just me or does anyone else see a pattern? Based on the timelines I have seen it seems like ppl are getting approved w/in 60-90 days IF they file both the I-130 and I-129f petitions. And the approvals are usually dated around there I-129f NOA1 date. And for those who are just filing the I-130 the approval varies from 90-120 days if not longer. Does anyone else see this pattern? I know nothing is guaranteed w/the USCIS and they pretty much do what they want but heck based on these findings I'm thinking of filing the I-129f myself ...the only I h  I haven't already b/c the CR-1 is the better visa. Am I the only thinking this?

Hi Anna,

I wish there was some sort of pattern that we can all use to get petitions approved faster - or at least in a consistent basis. Just from my own experience, I filed both the I-130 and I-129F and they are both pending in Vermont. It seems like its the luck of the draw. More recent filings of I-130 and I-129F could prove otherwise. I have noticed a wave of approvals recently and it seems like if you file both, they are approved very closed together if not the same day.

I hope you get good news soon!

Hi Douglas,

I also agree w/doing everything at the same time b/c it's so stressful. I'm not looking for a quick approval but dont want to wait forever like some ppl. I would love to have our interview in Aug around my birthday but of course it's too soon to think about that. Congrats again on the completion of you case w/NVC!!!

I think you might be right on the money. We got our NOA2 on the I-130 9 days after sending off for the K-3 (California). We now have a house sorted for us which we'll have to pay for during the months between now and the interview date, so it's better be fast. Can't pay for two places for a long time.

You don't need advanced parole to travel with a K-3. It's a 2 year multiple entry visa. It's the K-1 that need AP to travel before AOS.

Under 2 months from receipt to interview? Nice! Sounds like the embassy in Columbia has their act together.
