Im also confused coz they told me that they send me checklist on aug 10 so i waited that checklist. I called nvc again yesterday requesting them to resend that checklist to me or my husband's email but until now we still dont have that checklist. But for me, i send again those civil docs coz im tired waiting for it

You should wait, you dont have evidence what kind of docs you must submit them. Be patiente, I know this process is kiling but you need be quiet. Now review on your spouse's mail under spam email or review again, isnt it send an email to asknvc@state.gov, with explanation about your case they reply faster.

So its over 45 days since i submitted ds260 and my case is not complete. all i get to hear is that 'we are experiencing delays, kindly wait. you are not the only one'. i ask if something is wrong with my case and they tell me no everything looks fine. each and every agent says that. i call once or twice a week that maybe i wil get lucky on the fone! its just so disappointing.

Very sad heard it. Dont loss hope, maybe they are working with u case, take in mind the advance the last VB, its possible they are working with more cases.

Do you guys suggest i should upgrade my f2a to ir1? would this expedite my case or would it cause more waiting..im just afraid it will take 2 more months..

i just got off the fone with a nice nvc agent. she said shes putting in a request for the supervisor to review my case asap because its taking longer than normal. i did not mention anything about upgrading my case.

Why did you agree to supervisor review? They are taking 42 days for supervisor review and most of time supervisor do not even do anything to case. Our case was delayed significatly also so I hired lawyer to investigate. Now everytime you call, Rep is going to say its under supervisor review. Hope things have improved now since all that technical problem.

I agree with Nilx25 once you agree for the Supervisor review it will push back to 42 days more and if you are lucky the supervisor might look into it quickly. One time when I called NVC one of the representative mentioned me that by escalating to supervisor your case might delay more so she asked me to just be patient and wait.

Not much you can do but wait it out. Our case priority date is nov 27 13 and its been under cspa review for 4 months. And it will be another 2 to 3 months. As per your earlier question regarding citizenship. You definately need to let nvc know about husband's naturalization.

I definitely don't think you should since this would further delay your case. Your priority date is already current so there is no point in upgrading; you have a visa inmediately available to you whenever your case does get completed.

Amna -h - sorry that you are still going through this. This process is really heartbreaking.

my thoughts are that upgrading may indeed delay you (I'm not 100% sure about that - but I would assume that anything you request that requires action from NVC would mean some sort of delay)...but you are already now in Supervisor review .....so Im not sure the net delay time will be that significant anyway.

In addition, you should balance it with the fact that the GC obtained from a USC as opposed from a LPR has significantly more benefits. One that immediately comes to mind is that you will be eligible for citizenship after 2 years instead of 5. Upgrading may also cause your case to close more quickly and definitely will protect you from any retrogression (just saying..!.).

you are current... and your case hasn't closed yet....you've now gone into Sup Rev....the VB is moving too fast ahead for the number of people who are still waiting for visas....if I were in your shoes, I would upgrade.

Although I'm not in the same category and don't have this PD, I thought I would reply since I'm in the same situation as you!

I submitted my DS-260 on July 8th because of all the technical problems that had been happening and have yet to receive my CC. I see that other people who submitted around the same time and even later received their case completes and it's so disheartening. I call NVC about once a week asking for updates.

On August 10, they put me on supervisor review saying that it's been past the 30 days and they told me it shouldn't take the whole 42 days even though that's what they are supposed to say. I called again on August 25, and the NVC rep said that a supervisor had requested my documents and it shouldn't take much longer.

Seriously, im close to an emotional breakdown. The entire process has been unfair. The website delay and now this. All of which is not my fault in any way. I just want to be with my husband, start a life and a career. Everything is on a halt in my life just cuz of NVC messing up with me.
I will just wait a few days. I will keep calling every week. And if this doesnt get solved by next week or so, i will go for the upgrade maybe.

Yes there is one more person from Philippines here who submitted it on the same day and i believe they didnt get CC yet. But this is just the height of inefficiency.
