I haven't gotten my receipt For i-129 petition, and it's been 2 weeks since they got it, should I be worried?

Hi,

Have you filled out the form G-1145 Notification of Acceptance of Application/Petition ? If you did, just wait for another week cause it usually takes time from 2-3 weeks. I remembered mine, it took I think about 3 - 4 weeks.

Not necessarily, in response to your title question. Have they cashed your check? There have been cases of it taking six weeks or more to receive the I-797c receipt (NOA1).

For clarification:

I-129 = Petition for Non-Immigrant Worker

I-129F = Petition for Alien Fiancee (K1)

In the future, suggest that you put your question in the main body of your message, not in the title....

Supposedly, you are supposed to receive a "snail-mail" confirmation saying the exact same thing the digital notifcation says....

BUT, I never got mine =( AT ALL...

Per the digital confirmation below, I would call the customer service number.

The Digital confirmation reads like this:

On January 6, 2015, we received your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by February 5, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

OH, by the way. I sent mine in the mail on 1/1/15, and they confirmed it on 1/8/15 ( To give you a reference about the time ). From reading the above it sounds like you should give them a call if it has been longer than 1 month.

Okay Sam092, well, I think just wait for another week though if you're processing for K1 visa. Mine was given more than 3-4 weeks too. Kindly check too Pitaya's message for you rgdg clarification on your case If your petition is for non immigrant worker, it might be a different timeline.
