So I just checked my visa status on the USCIS website and it says they need more information... How long does this take them to process it after they received the extra information. Also what could the extra information be that they need? It was only send out yesterday 24/04/15 so we have yet to receive the letter.

There is no way of knowing what information they will need. This will be explained to you in your letter when you receive it.

From a few weeks to a few months.

No one but you would know what they need which is whatever you didn't submit or clarification of something.

You must send the hard copy of the letter back with the info requested.
